A "random" January thought...

...
Is the cost of the box of Quality Streets you had to buy to get you through doing your tax return tax deductible?????

Hope so!

Here's a lovely serene scene in case you're stressing...

My quilting club suggested last week...

... that I specialised in "Speed quilting", and I decided not to disappoint!  I was on the train quite a lot this weekend, so on Thursday I made up a simple lap sized quilt sandwich using some patchwork effect cotton and matching reverse, then big-stitch hand quilted it on the train (quite convenient, as it turned out, because it was pretty draughty and this way I had a blanket over my legs without looking like an invalid...).  Obviously, I couldn't resist finishing it yesterday, so here it is:

I hope the Linus Project will find a little boy to love this one very soon!

Quilting Club runs on 3rd Tuesdays, the next one is February 18th, 7:30 - 9:30, cost only £5 includes refreshments. All standards welcome; help, equipment and advice offered freely.  I hope to see you there, do get in touch for more information.

At last, a post...

...that I've been meaning to put up since Convention in November,  I have been so busy with work and then Christmas, which is why it has taken so long, And today (at last...) a proper day off!

I had two swaps using the "Round the World" stamp set and the gorgeous "This is me" designer paper.

This is my card swap, I made over 60 of these:

And here's my pack for the card candy swap I took part in - I had a great time producing 10 sets of these:

I see this more as scrapbooking candy really, I think it would work great in a journal or travel layout. It took me much longer than I expected to make these but it was so worth it, I got some great swaps back.

Want to come to Convention in October this year? Join Stampin Up with me during Sale-a-bration and you'll get £150 of product for just £99 postage free, AND business supplies, and no further obligation but the opportunity to start a new business, get further discounts, and to attend convention!  Get in touch with me today, 07814 918232.

Top tip for using the envelope board...

...my favourite new stampin up product is the envelope punch board.  It has been wonderful for making bespoke-sized envelopes not to mention all sorts of boxes and file-folder projects.  While I was making envelopes for some cards this morning, I noticed that there were rather a lot of little trimmings sprinkled over my desk, so I have invented the following VERY HI-TECH solution to this problem:

Works a treat! When it's full, just remove and replace...

Happy Monday!  xxx
